I write to articulate my inconsequential sentiments about places and things. Subjects of my sentimentalisation include fish and chips, headless statues in Prague and dwindling fireworks in the corner of my memory.

My visit to Penrith

"I picked a type of fish randomly and listened to the delicious sound of the battered fish being cooked in hot oil."

On the Vietnamese New Year

"My cousins and I would bring some wooden chairs outside to stand on and look attentively at every corner of the sky to catch the first sight of the faraway fireworks..."

My trip to Prague

"I remember the lifelike but disinterested statue faces, which came into and disappeared from my sight when I looked up at the buildings in Prague."
